UKE Antiinfektiva-Leitfaden

The anti-infective guidelines of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) contain information on rational antimicrobial therapy and prophylaxis of infectious diseases. For each indication, recommendations for diagnostics, the most common pathogens and therapy with dosage and duration of therapy are given. Doses are generally for a normal-weight adult individual with normal kidney and liver function, dose adjustments are discussed in a separate section. The UKE should only deviate from the therapy recommended in the guidelines in justified individual cases.

The recommendations are based on the local resistance situation of the UKE and represent the individually developed consensus between the Antibiotic Stewardship Team and the clinically treating specialist departments. We advise against transferring the recommendations to other hospitals without adapting them to local conditions.

The information has been carefully researched and corresponds to the current state of knowledge. Mistakes, spelling mistakes, etc. cannot be ruled out. Taking the guidelines into account does not release you from the obligation to read, observe and apply the therapy recommendations of current guidelines and specialist information (indications, contraindications, dose recommendations).
