Place the tablet on the counter, customers tap a star – the rating goes directly to your RatingStar account. The native kiosk app turns any Android tablet into a rating display for your location.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set up the tablet in your RatingStar backend – you'll receive a one-time setup code.

2. Open the app, enter the code. The tablet now displays your rating profile in full screen.

3. Customers tap a star, optionally enter their name and a comment – ​​done. After a few seconds, the tablet is ready for the next customer.

WHAT THE APP CAN DO

• Profile display in standby mode – logo, average star rating, and recent reviews as a constant demonstration of trustworthiness at the point of sale.

• Large star picker, optimized for touch – no fumbling, no submenus.

• No email required – ratings can be submitted anonymously or with a name, without any obligation to provide contact information at the counter.

• Kiosk Mode (App Pinning) — locks the tablet to the app; no one can open other apps in between.

• Offline Tolerant — ratings are cached and automatically sent as soon as a network connection is available.

• Remotely Deactivatable — Tablet lost or stolen? One click in the backend, and the app will only display a lock notification.

• Screen stays on as long as the app is running — no manual wake-up required.

REQUIREMENTS

You need a RatingStar account (ratingstar.de) with active kiosk access for your branch. The app cannot be set up without an existing account — a free trial is available at ratingstar.de/bewertungstool.

DATA PROTECTION

The app deliberately collects minimal data: only the submitted rating (stars, optionally name and comment). No email address, location, advertising ID, tracking, or analytics or ad SDKs. All data is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS). Details: ratingstar.de/datenschutz
