GlobeViewer Mars offers an immersive 3D interactive globe of the entire Martian surface, featuring official designations of surface features such as craters and mountains. Users can zoom into high-resolution local maps, especially of NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover landing site in Jezero Crater, enhanced with HiRISE data for stunning detail.

The extension includes a comprehensive mission log dating back to 1960 and tracks the Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter's movements live. Since version 0.7, photogrammetry-based detailed views of the Martian terrain from rover and helicopter photos allow users to virtually explore Mars as if present on the red planet. Supporting 18 languages, GlobeViewer Mars makes exploring Mars accessible and engaging.
