Widekey Keyboard

This keyboard is for people who frequently hit the wrong buttons on small displays and are frustrated by constantly deleting and retyping — without wanting to rely on autocorrection, which can also get things wrong.

The buttons are almost double the standard width, making it much easier to hit the right one. The tradeoff: each button shows two characters. To enter the character on the right, tap the button twice quickly (within 1/3 of a second; configurable).

For each character, you briefly decide: once or twice?
You may type more slowly, but make fewer mistakes.
(If your device has a larger screen, you probably don't need this app.)

To access settings, long-press the globe icon and select the gear icon in the popup. You can adjust the double-tap timing, enable a dedicated number row, show special character hints for faster symbol entry, and more.
