The photo Butler - Your competent help for automated slide show

tl; dr: Using this app you can transform an (old) tablet into a smart digital photo frame for remote filling. New images found by eMail their way to this picture frame Toggle itself independently to individualize times on and off and displays the images in a sort of slideshow. But manually can be specifically select images to display and look through by swiping.

The main benefit of this app is the automated display of images as a slideshow.
For each day of the week (individually or in combinations) any number of arrival and off times can be set to start including / end the slide show. These are various settings (for example, transitions, display time, transition duration) are available. The images to be displayed can also preset: All pictures of the last x days, at least y random, senior pictures, at least for images, only images of a certain minimum rating, etc.

To all images in a folder to be specified to be used. So that new images must not be copied manually, the access application can be granted to an e-mail account from which it downloads images from e-mail with a subject to be determined and archived in this folder. If the email also contained text, it will then be displayed with the image together (for example, used for indications á la " At the Grand Canyon, it was beautiful. ").

Although images of course (or similar Thunderbird) and conventional with webmail or other email programs can be sent, you have to enter the same data over and over again in this way (subject, receiver). After a few months of daily use interferes with that. This is where the second component of the app. With it, contacts can create that must be selected after selecting the image and writing the comment just for the reception. In addition, the app if necessary scales the image to be sent for each contact individually down - and so easy on the space required for displaying device.

I developed this app for my parents so that they - despite many divisive kilometers - can take part in the development of their grandchildren. She's been with us for well over a year in daily use and will be extended again and again. The app will include advertising in the future, which can be disabled via in-app purchase. For all Early Bird users who already installed the app, this installation will only show (also for updates) no advertising.
