Paulino KiNA (Kindernotfall)

The Paulino Pediatric Emergency App (Paulino KiNA) supports medical professionals in pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency medicine in the care of critically ill pediatric patients.

Using the app reduces the workload of emergency personnel in stressful situations. Life-threatening dosing errors or dilution mistakes are avoided, and patient safety is increased.

Using the selection wheel, a patient's weight class, height, or age can be chosen, and the app then calculates the dosage of 40 common emergency medications. For selected medications, a dosing aid is available, providing instructions on dilution and indicating the required volume.

The app also provides age-adapted information on normal physiological values ​​and the equipment needed for airway management and defibrillation.

The app's calculators for the Pediatric Glasgow Coma Scale, the Apgar score, and the KUS scale facilitate the accurate calculation of these values. Algorithms for the initial assessment and treatment of sick and injured children are also available.

This app is a collaborative effort between the Paulino System and Emergency Medical Services FactSheets. The app is intentionally provided free of charge to support medical professionals in pre-hospital and hospital emergency medicine in the safe and rapid treatment of critically ill children.
