Disco Taxi in Ostalbkreis is a local program offering half-price rides to young adults up to 25 on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 to 06:00, and on evenings before public holidays. The service is funded by the Ostalb district and partners to encourage safe rides home.

How it works: register once in the app with the district administration, show your eligibility card in the taxi, create a trip, and after arrival enter the taxi's registration number, fare, and number of passengers. Save the trip and pay half the fare in cash. This applies regardless of the number of passengers. The initiative helps reduce traffic accidents involving novice drivers.
