The FloReST app offers an effective solution for identifying and reporting problem areas related to heavy rain events. With the FloReST SmartApp you can now actively contribute to solving these problems and making your community safer! Often these problems occur in inner-city areas where drainage is disturbed or blocked and this is where you come into play. Your experiences and local knowledge in connection with heavy rain events are very important, but have so far often been overlooked and not included in the heavy rain hazard maps. By using the FloReST – SmartApp you play an important role in identifying and reporting places that can cause problems during heavy rain

To do this, you can determine the position manually or using GPS and mark problematic areas on a map.
You can then use the reporting form to enter all the necessary data quickly and precisely. Use the integrated camera function to take pictures of the problematic areas and document them along with other relevant information such as timestamps, coordinates, type of problem and a description of the problem.

With the FloReST SmartApp you can help strengthen resilience to heavy rain events. Because all data is collected and then visualized and analyzed. This way, risk mitigation measures can be taken and future impacts on your community can be minimized.
