KATRETTER is a life-saving Chrome extension that alerts volunteers in emergencies and crisis situations within their immediate vicinity. Designed to expedite rescue efforts, it notifies both medically trained first responders and general helpers by smartphone app in real-time, allowing them to provide critical support before professional emergency services arrive.

The system respects volunteer qualifications and decides anonymously whom to alert, ensuring that the right help is deployed. Whether it's initiating resuscitation or assisting in flood relief, KATRETTER mobilizes community support efficiently. Developed in partnership with the Berlin Fire Department, Fraunhofer FOKUS, and CombiRisk GmbH, KATRETTER is a free, legally secure, and location-specific tool enhancing emergency response and volunteer coordination.
