Gybu Latein Kern

A Latin vocabulary learning app, tailored to the vocabulary curriculum of the 6th grade at Burgstädt Gymnasium (GyBu) in the 2026 school year. It helps students learn the current lessons reliably,

motivatingly, and at their own pace.

The app contains the complete vocabulary for each lesson, including the root word, grammatical information (such as gender, stem form, or verb form), and the German meaning. Vocabulary can be practiced in both directions: Latin → German and German → Latin. Important information such as "m," "f," "n," adverbs, and the third-person singular form of verbs is also quizzed.

An intelligent learning mode repeats difficult words more frequently and vocabulary that has already been mastered at longer intervals. This allows the learning to focus on individual learning needs.

Learning progress is clearly displayed: learners can see which words are new, which are still uncertain, and which they have already mastered. Parents and teachers can obtain a clear overview of completed lessons and results as needed.

The app aims to build up the Latin vocabulary of the 6th grade permanently – with short, regular practice sessions, understandable feedback and suitable material for teaching at GyBu 2026.
