Run multiple timers in a single browser tab
What is runTimers?
runTimers is a Chrome extension that allows you to easily manage and run multiple timers in a single browser tab. Whether you need progress timers or countdown timers for various purposes, runTimers offers a range of features. You can create timers with durations or end times, add them to your Google Calendar, and format their descriptions. The extension keeps your timer data in your browser's local storage for privacy. Plus, it provides options for desktop notifications and sound alerts when a countdown timer ends. Additionally, you can use the Targeting tool to create countdown timers based on projected time needed to reach a target level.

Extension summary

• Each timer can be a progress timer or a countdown timer.

• You can create countdown timers by setting either their durations (the length of time to count down from) or their end times.

• You can add a countdown timer to your Google Calendar by clicking on the timer's end time button. The button appears in either the Post time or Remaining time column.

• Your timer data is kept only in your browser's local storage — rather than on some server.

• The extension needs permission to your "tabs" so that it can avoid opening multiple runTimers tabs.

• You can format a timer's description by selecting its text and pressing Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I or Ctrl+U.

• Unless disabled in "Optional settings," runTimers will play a sound and show a desktop notification when a countdown timer ends. The runTimers tab must be opened in your browser — though the tab need not be active. By default, desktop notifications will remain open until you click on them.

• You can use the Targeting tool to create a countdown timer whose duration is a projection of the length of time needed to attain a target level (at a constant hourly earn/growth rate, and net of any current level).

User reviews

I use it for Elvenar (video game). I would like to be able to display only the columns that are really useful to me (Item and remaining time). A dark mode would also be nice. However, it's a simple, handy and powerful tool.

Very good extension which does exactly do what I need. It functions without any flaws and very sophisticated. I have one suggestion for the design. It would be great if you could add a ta dark mode as well. I helped myself by changing the css with some effort and I thing that other users would appreciate a simple button to do the job.

Customizable. Unlike the dumb countdown extensions out there....
