D365 Dev Tools

Unofficial developer toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Business Central.

Features & Capabilities

D365 Dev Tools is an unofficial developer toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Finance & Operations.

Click the extension icon and choose Business Central or Finance & Operations - a floating panel opens right there, on any D365 environment, including custom client domains, not just Microsoft's default URLs. Navigate between pages, tables, reports, and admin tools without manually editing URLs.

Business Central • Open any page, table, or report by ID - autocomplete, saved favorites, live URL preview • Switch companies directly from the panel • Open Admin Center with one click • Toggle embed mode (show/hide navigation & ribbon) • Apply a profile / role center • Copy the current page's clean URL (no session params) or its page ID • Quick access to the Web Services list and Business Central's built-in Page Inspector

Finance & Operations • Open any table in SysTableBrowser • Run any class via SysClassRunner • Navigate menu items, action menus, and output menus • Switch language and legal entity (company) • Query any OData entity - filter, page through results, export to CSV/XLSX, or copy as JSON • Enable debug mode and toggle the loading splash screen • Form Info Overlay - hover a field, Ctrl+click to copy its control or form name

Additional Features • Save frequently used IDs locally in your browser, with bulk import/export • Available in English, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and Vietnamese • "Recall" button to force-close the panel and hard-reload the page if anything ever gets stuck
