CU FireAuth Firefox

CU FireAuth

Automatically logs into the CU campus Wi-Fi portal (Fortinet) so you never get disconnected. Dont worry it is Secure and does not require any permissions , the only thing it needs is Internet password.

Features & Capabilities

This extension is designed for use on a private university campus network (Chandigarh University). The login portal (http://172.16.2.1:1000/login) is only accessible when connected to the campus Wi-Fi network, so it cannot be tested from outside the campus network. The extension uses browser.storage.local to store the username and password entered by the user in the popup. No data is sent to any external server — credentials are only used to fill and submit the Fortinet login form on the local network gateway. Reviewer can verify the code directly: content.js fills form fields #ft_un and #ft_pd, then clicks the submit button. background.js sets a browser alarm every 80 minutes to trigger this.
