Anime Faster – Playback Speed

Anime Faster adds playback speed control to the main streaming platforms, with a dark interface designed to blend in.

SUPPORTED PLATFORMS Crunchyroll, ADN (Animation Digital Network), Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

FEATURES • 16 presets from 0.25x to 10x, plus a slider for quarter-step fine tuning. • Alt + + and Alt + - keyboard shortcuts to adjust without opening the popup, rebindable in the settings. • Speed remembered separately for each platform, and re-applied automatically to the next episode. • Reset protection: these players drop the speed when you go fullscreen, skip an intro or switch quality. The extension restores it immediately. And if you change the speed from the player's own menu, it follows your choice instead of fighting you. • Interface in English and French, following the browser language.

WHY THESE PERMISSIONS The extension requests access to the sites listed above, and to those only. That access is used solely to change the playback rate of the page's video element. No data is collected, no analytics are sent, the extension makes no network request whatsoever. Local storage only holds your speed and your shortcuts.

GOOD TO KNOW Above roughly 4x, the browser mutes the audio track. That is browser behaviour, not a limitation of the extension.
