Coverlay Firefox

Coverlay

By: hansp
Hide what you don't want to see. This extension enables you to draw over elements of the webpage you don't want to be visible. Mainly intended to cover subtitles, it remembers drawings per-site (and even across for videos of the same YT channel).

Features & Capabilities

The extension allows you to draw over any part of a webpage and remembers the drawings. It's mainly intended to cover parts of a page that one wants to avoid seeing, like a video subtitle.

It remembers drawings per website, and also has an additional feature for YouTube where it can display the same drawing on every video page from that channel.

Other features include making the drawing stick to the page vs viewport, shortcuts and customizable brush sizes!

Thank you!

Is Coverlay Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Coverlay requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
