Copy Video Frame

Copy Video Frame adds a Shift+Right‑Click context menu entry that captures a still image from any HTML5 video element. Hold Shift and right-click a video, choose "Copy Video Frame" to take a snapshot of the current frame — the capture opens in a new tab by default or is copied directly to the clipboard when the optional permission is granted.

The extension uses the required menu and activeTab permissions to inject the capture code and add the context menu entry; clipboardWrite is optional and only used to copy images when granted. For DRM or protected streams a fallback capture may include overlays or reduced dimensions. If the menu item doesn't appear, the clicked element might not be a video or an overlaying element may be blocking the click. Designed to be lightweight and privacy-respecting, the addon keeps clipboard access opt-in while providing a quick way to snapshot video frames.
