Copy PlainText

Copy PlainText is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to remove all formatting from any text you copy. Before the text is saved to your clipboard, the extension strips styles, fonts, colors, and extra spacing, delivering clean plain text. It supports custom find & replace with strings and regular expressions, removes leading/trailing spaces and multiple spaces, and includes keyboard shortcuts for efficiency.

This extension respects your privacy by containing no tracking or advertisements. It also provides a neat paste plain text feature to ensure what you paste is always formatting-free. Apple/Mac users can adjust function key settings to properly use shortcuts. While current browser APIs limit making this the default copy function, Copy PlainText offers an intuitive way to maintain formatting-free clipboard content with helpful notifications and a user guide included.
