Cookie Glasses

Show consent registered by cookie banners of IAB Europe's Transparency & Consent Framework

Features & Capabilities

*** OUTDATED *** This extension only handles TCFv1 and is therefore obsolete unless work is done to integrate related pull request on github. Project is currently abandoned.

This browser extension shows you whether consent registered by cookie banners of IAB Europe's Transparency & Consent Framework corresponds to your choice.

It queries Consent Management Providers (CMPs) of IAB Europe's Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) as a third party, making it possible to see consent set by CMPs in real time. In other words, you can see whether consent registered by cookie banners is actually the consent you gave. Will only work with cookie banners of IAB Europe's TCF.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
