Vision, Mission, and Philosophy

VISION: To promote Health and Peace. To explore New Talents and economic growth of the society.

MISSION: To establish sports culture in the society, encourage organisations to organise different levels of sports competitions. Encourage industries, companies, business persons and sports lovers to sponsor in sports as their corporate responsibility. Proper mobilisation of media houses.

PHILOSOPHY: We believe that sports training is one of the greatest “Training grounds “ for life. It teaches the value of life, teamwork, respect, leadership, confidence, and emotional balance.

Objectives: One of the objectives of the Ex-Sportsman Forum Nepal, the organiser of this event, is to project the beautiful country of Nepal in the sports map of the world. The forum in its first meeting unanimously agreed to organise an International Marathon in Pokhara, a place known as a city of joy. The concept, no doubt, is to follow the theme and outcome of the successful organisation of the City Marathon in different parts of the world with the following objectives:-

1. Project Nepal on the sports map of the world.

2. Promote “Sports for Peace and Health.”

3. Support Talent Runners.

4. Boost tourism in Pokhara and connect sports with Sustainable Development Goals.

Potentiality of Pokhara Marathon: The Pokhara Marathon combines nature, culture, and spirituality. It is surrounded by stunning mountains, enchanting Himalayas, rivers, and lakes. It’s a hub of cultural diversity as well as a place of spirituality. The city’s climate and topography favour sports activities in all seasons. It is not merely a sporting event but a harmonious convergence that beautifully blends nature, culture, and spirituality. The Pokhara Marathon, now in its Eighteenth Edition from 2002 to 2024 has resounding success holding the cherished place in the hearts of the Nepali people.
