Your actual calorie entries and personal logs are stored exclusively on your device as private files. However, to keep the app sustainable, we use Google AdMob for a small ad banner (which requires location data for ad delivery) and RevenueCat to handle premium billing (which registers financial info - purchase history).

What notch does

You tap a button. The number goes up.

If you ate something and you know roughly how many calories it contained — and you probably do, or a five-second search will tell you — you tap. notch adds the number. At the end of the day, you know what you consumed. Not to the nearest gram. To the nearest honest estimate, which turns out to be precise enough to matter.

Set a daily target, or don't. Watch the trend over days and weeks. That is what changes behavior — not the difference between 320 and 340 calories.

What notch does not do

No food names. No photographs. No barcodes. No AI. No account, no login, no cloud. Your entries are stored as private files on your phone and nowhere else. We did not build a server for your data because we did not want your data.
