WorkoTime Face

Workotime Face turns an Android tablet or phone into a face recognition attendance
kiosk for your workplace. Employees mark attendance by looking at the camera — no
cards, no fingerprints on a shared sensor, nothing to lose or forget.

This app is for businesses using Workotime. An account is provided by your employer;
it cannot be used on its own.


HOW IT WORKS

Mount a device at the entrance and activate it once. An administrator enrols each
employee's face from the kiosk. After that, employees simply look at the camera to
punch in or out. Recognition takes under a second.


BUILT FOR REAL WORKPLACES

• Works offline — attendance keeps recording when the internet drops, and syncs
automatically when the connection returns. A power cut or a dead router does not
cost you a day of attendance.

• Anti-spoofing — the app checks that it is looking at a real person, not a
photograph or a face on a phone screen. Attempts to fool it are recorded for
administrators to review.

• Multiple locations — employees who work across several offices are recognised at
every kiosk. Enrol once; it applies everywhere.

• Break tracking — staff log breaks by face or by PIN, with optional approval and
configurable break types and durations.

• Manual entry — a supervisor can record attendance by hand when someone cannot be
recognised, so nobody is left without a record.

• Admin tools on the device — view the day's attendance, manage who is enrolled, and
export logs, all from the kiosk itself.

PRIVACY

The face scan used for recognition is not stored or transmitted — it is processed on
the device into a face template, a set of numbers that cannot be turned back into a
picture, and discarded immediately. Employees may optionally set a profile photo so
colleagues and administrators can identify them; this step can be skipped, and the
photo is stored only for that purpose.

Face templates are stored on the device and on our servers in Mumbai, India, and are
shared with no one. They are deleted when an employee leaves, and an administrator can
delete an enrolment at any time, which removes it from the server and from every
device.

Before any face is enrolled, the app explains what is recorded, where it is kept, how
long for, and how to withdraw. Nothing is captured unless that is accepted.

The app requests only two permissions: Camera, to recognise faces, and Internet, to
sync. It collects no location, contacts, files or advertising identifiers, contains no
advertising, and does nothing in the background.
