FUSILLI Social Game

The FUSILLI Social Game, an essential component of the FUSILLI project, is an interactive and engaging ICT tool designed to drive behavioral transition towards sustainable food systems and promote sustainable food system practices among users. This innovative mobile trivia game application aims to empower participants to make informed choices regarding their diets, consumption patterns, and production practices.

The Social Game leverages the principles of gamification, making the learning process enjoyable and rewarding. Users are presented with a diverse range of questions and challenges related to sustainable diets, nutrition, responsible production, consumption and more. Through gamified interactions, participants gain valuable insights into the impact of their choices on the food system and the environment.

The app is enabling users to make more conscious and sustainable decisions and beyond its educational benefits, the Social Game fosters a sense of competition and camaraderie among participants. A leaderboard system allows users to track their progress and compare achievements with others, motivating them to actively contribute to the project's objectives.

Moreover, the Social Game supports knowledge sharing and collaboration among users. Through the application content, participants exchange insights, experiences, and best practices related to food system transformation. The game serves as a bridge of knowledge sharing among citizens, stakeholders, and local authorities in a shared effort to drive positive change.

Feedback is an integral part of the Social Game's continuous improvement. User input is actively encouraged and carefully processed to refine the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the application. While major functionalities remain stable, the application’s usability and accessibility are continuously enhanced based on valuable feedback from users throughout the project’s life span.

The Social Game was developed under the Task 3.7 (D3.8) of the EU funded project FUSILLI and serves as a powerful tool in the FUSILLI project's journey towards creating sustainable and integrated food systems. By fostering behavioral change, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, the Social Game plays a pivotal role in empowering individuals to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment.
