Practical information for your visit:

Guided tours of the monastery take place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately two hours. The cost is €12 and includes access to the church and the interior of the monastery. A minimum group size of 12 people is required. The monastery is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

A bit of history:

Founded by a Charter of Privilege from the Catholic Monarchs on May 15, 1501, and dedicated to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, the monastery was originally located within the Alhambra complex, on the site of a former Nasrid palace. It was later moved to its current location in the Albaicín district, occupying the Dar-al-Horra palace, the residence of Boabdil's mother. Throughout its more than five centuries of history, the Poor Clare community has preserved this place as a space of silence, prayer and hospitality.
