Sum Lotto is a free number-picking tool for the Mega Millions number format: five different numbers from 1 to 70, plus a Mega Ball from 1 to 25.

Instead of picking at random, Sum Lotto lets you choose a target SUM first. Every set of numbers the app generates adds up to exactly the sum you picked.

- Number Creating
Choose a target sum (15 to 340) and how many lines you want (1 to 100). The app instantly builds number lines whose five numbers add up to your chosen sum, and adds a Mega Ball for each line.

- Number of Cases
Browse every sum from 15 to 340 and see exactly how many different 5-number combinations produce that sum. Sums in the middle of the range have more than a hundred thousand possible combinations, while the lowest and highest sums have only one each.

- Share your numbers
Save your generated lines as an image and share them with friends through any messaging app.

■ Why sums?

The five main numbers can add up to anything from 15 (1+2+3+4+5) to 340 (66+67+68+69+70), but the possible combinations are not spread evenly. The two most common sums, 177 and 178, each have 106,681 different combinations, while a sum of 15 or 340 has exactly one. Sum Lotto shows you that distribution and lets you build lines around whichever sum you prefer.
