Bacana Play

Bacana Play

Bacana Play brings the classic pair-capture stone game to a warm walnut table.
Two players alternate placing a single stone on an empty point of the grid -
you play jade, the AI plays garnet. Line up five stones in an unbroken row,
in any direction, and you win outright. Along the way, watch for captures:
place a stone so that exactly two enemy stones sit trapped between your new
stone and one you already control, and that pair is swept from the board -
capture five pairs and that alone wins the game too. There is no penalty for
walking into what looks like a trap; only the player who completes the flank
captures.

Twenty boards climb from a compact 9x9 opening to a wider 13x13 table, and
the opponent's search depth grows alongside it, so early boards teach the
capture pattern while later ones demand real foresight - reading open threes,
guarding your own pairs, and racing the AI to five. The AI genuinely searches
the position every move; it is never scripted to lose and never asks for
payment to play fair. Coins earned from clean, fast wins are cosmetic only -
every board is winnable on skill alone, and progress carries no shortcuts.
