Win Isola

Win Isola drops you and a thinking rival onto a shared grid of square tiles. Each turn you step to any of the eight neighbouring tiles, then permanently cut one empty tile from the board - the grid only ever shrinks. There is no capturing and no combat: you win by cutting off every route the rival could take, and you lose the instant you have nowhere left to step yourself.

The rival is a real opponent. It searches ahead through possible move-and-cut sequences, weighing how many tiles it can still reach against how many you can reach, and always plays a legal move - it never cheats and never gets stuck by accident. Across twenty levels the grid grows from a tight five-by-five to a wider eight-by-eight, and the rival's lookahead grows with it, from a single ply of foresight to a full deliberate search.

Three stars reward a fast, clean win; coins earned along the way sit in your outpost account for later. Every level is generated from a fixed, reproducible seed, so a level plays out the same way each time you study it - there is nothing hidden and nothing bought.
