WiFi Phone enables short-range voice communication between Android devices within a 100-meter range using WiFi. It supports two communication modes: Wireless LAN Router and WiFi Direct. In Wireless LAN Router mode, devices connect to the same WiFi access point, allowing voice calls by sharing LAN addresses. WiFi Direct mode lets two devices connect directly without an intermediate access point, enabling peer-to-peer (P2P) calls anywhere, even without traditional network infrastructure.

This extension requires the app running on both phones to initiate and receive calls. Users can create contacts by sharing LAN or P2P addresses, similar to phone numbers, and manage call volume with hardware buttons or headphones. WiFi Phone prioritizes user privacy by not collecting personal data and only using an internet connection to display optional Google Ads.
