But the emitter needs a beat to recharge, so a wasted pulse leaves you defenseless — and panic-firing on a feinter's bait can be fatal.
Armored foes only shatter while the ring is still tight and bright, forcing you to let them walk terrifyingly close. Feinters stop dead to bait you, then lunge. And when your overpulse meter fills, the core turns gold — hold it until the screen is swarmed, then unleash a full-screen blast.
