Features & Capabilities

Waterpik™ Water Flossing offers an easy and highly effective way to improve your oral hygiene. This app guides you through your first two weeks of water flossing, helping you develop the proper technique and stay motivated with helpful tips. Water flossing cleans hard-to-reach areas like back teeth, between teeth, and below the gumline, areas that brushing alone often misses.

Using the Waterpik™ water flosser can result in noticeable improvements: by day 3, teeth are cleaner with less plaque; by day 8, gums are healthier and teeth brighter; and by day 14, you'll become a water flossing pro. Trusted by over 90% of US dental professionals and backed by more than 70 clinical studies, Waterpik™ is accepted by the American Dental Association for safety and effectiveness, making it the go-to choice for optimal oral care.

User Reviews

Users generally find the Waterpik™ Water Flossing app and device effective for improving oral hygiene and building a daily flossing habit. The app's 14-day challenge and reminders are appreciated. However, multiple reviews highlight issues with the app's strict and sometimes unforgiving tracking system that resets progress if usage dates are missed or not logged timely. Users also note that the app could better tailor guidance to specific Waterpik models, lacks a built-in timer, and sometimes shows excessive ads. Some find the device messy at first and question the usefulness of Bluetooth features.

Pros

Effectively cleans teeth and reaches areas that toothbrush misses, providing a very clean and refreshed feeling.
App provides a 14-day challenge and reminders, helping users build consistent flossing habits.
Waterpik device is powerful and useful, with some models offering multiple options like toothbrush and water pick usage simultaneously.
The app and product combination help users who find traditional flossing difficult or painful to maintain oral hygiene.
Users appreciate the app's features that teach correct water flossing techniques and encourage daily use.

Cons

App's tracking and reminder system punishes users for missing days or not updating on time by resetting streaks and challenges, causing frustration.
Lack of customization in app to match different Waterpik device models leads to some confusion and less relevant guidance.
App has usability issues such as no built-in timer during use and sometimes excessive ads or pop-ups despite settings to disable them.
Some users find the water flosser to be messy initially and needing a technique to use effectively without splashing.
Bluetooth feature in the toothbrush is seen as unnecessary and unused by many users, reducing perceived app value.

Recent reviews

Skeptical at first, but committed after the 1st use. Wow, what a different finish after brushing and flossing. I can't wait to see how the results continue after the 14 day challenge!
