I think there are a ton of bugs in this latest update. Prior to Feb. 9 the app was working great and I had no issues. Now I can't open any stories. None of the links work, and I pay for Slate Plus. Very disappointed and I hope this gets fixed soon. I regularly use this app.

Worked great for a while. Well, good anyway. User interface for the crossword archive was abysmal, and half the time articles works just randomly reload and skip to the top. But for the last two weeks it is fully dead. the home page is blank, you can see headlines on the category pages, but each article refuses to open. If you tap the share icon, copy the address, paste it into a browser, and then manually cut out the Undefined error before the address, you can read an article, but why bother?

Edit 2/17/26 App not working at all for about a week. Blank screen or Something Went Wrong message. Paused, uninstalled & reinstalled multiple times, cleared cache, etc. Still not workjng. And I pay for Slate Plus membership. Well I was having problems getting kicked out of the app occasionally. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. About 8 times. The app now just comes up with a Slate cover, then a blank white screen. Nothing. I don't get it, why can't Slate build an app?
