Tell it your current weight, your goal and the pace you want, and WalkItOff works out how many steps you need in total. Instead of throwing you straight into 15,000 steps a day, it builds your daily target up gradually from what you walk now, holds you at goal pace, then tapers back to your normal routine as you near the finish.
