Create your Walima event

Prepare for your meetup! Got a favorite coffee shop or restaurant that you go to on the weekend?
It is time to turn this into a special social event! Create an event on Walima: Name it, set the location, the time, and some details about your event (let’s say afternoon coffee). Post it! All you have to do now is to wait for people near your event’s location to start dropping you join requests!

Bring on your friends too!

It is always a good idea to be with someone you know when meeting new people. Go ahead and let your friends join the event you created on Walima App! The gathering will be much fun in a group!
You friends can search your Walima event and send you join requests.

Invitation only!

This is the awesome part. You will get to choose who joins this event!
Accept the interesting ones as your guests!
Now one thing to keep in mind, only the accepted guests can see the event’s location 😉

Join Walima events!

Keep an eye on the Walima events created in your area! There are always great meetups being held and you don't want to miss out on the fun and the good company!
You will only see the events that are being held near you. Always check your Walima app for new events and check who is hosting it. They might be someone you’d like to meet!

Chat with new people and plan your eat out together in group chats.

Reviews

When you host an event, your guests can make star-review of it. So, make sure to ROCK those social events you host and get the highest review possible!
The reviews you are given will average up to a score that will show on your Walima profile.
On the other hand, when joining a Walima event hosted by others, you can check the host’s profile for their review score!

Link your Facebook or Instagram account

You can now link your Facebook or Instagram account to your Walima profile. This is perfect if you want your guests to have a glimpse about you before meeting up with you! This will give them a better idea of you as a person and will help them feel good about the meetup!

Go Premium!

The Premium designation will make you stand out from the crowd. Once you buy the Premium, a gold crown will appear on your profile and on the events that you host. This will show the Walima community that you are on for serious fun and that you are not someone fake who sets up fake events and never show up. This will also increase your chances of meeting awesome people who have also got the Premium designation! Premium means more fun and credibility.
