AudioFetch Android

AudioFetch

Delight your customers by providing real time wireless audio to their smartphone

Features & Capabilities

AudioFetch is a premium Chrome extension that streams local audio directly to smartphones and tablets over WiFi. Ideal for venues like fitness centers, sports bars, churches, and tourism sites, it enables users to enjoy real-time wireless audio without any physical attachments.

In fitness centers, AudioFetch allows customers to hear TV audio throughout the facility and during group exercise classes. Sports bars benefit by engaging fans more deeply, encouraging longer visits and increased orders. Churches can improve services with assistive listening and real-time translation, compatible with Bluetooth headphones. For tourism, AudioFetch replaces costly, unhygienic tour guide audio receivers with guests’ smartphones, promoting safe social distancing and enhanced visitor experience.

User Reviews

AudioFetch shows strong potential for accessibility and clear audio in venues like churches and museums, with easy setup and helpful support. However, widespread reliability problems—frequent disconnects, Wi‑Fi/connectivity issues, and the need to bypass Android battery optimizations—limit its effectiveness. The app is praised for its concept and usefulness in inclusive listening, but performance is inconsistent across environments, making it a mixed experience depending on device and venue.
Pros
  • Improves accessibility for hearing-impaired users (notably in church services and venues with translations).
  • Clear audio and quick setup when the app is working (works well in churches, museums, and similar environments).
  • Convenient for waiting rooms or public spaces where listening is needed (easy to connect and use).
  • Responsive tech support that provides guidance to fix issues.
  • Strong concept with real-world usefulness in venues that want inclusive audio experiences
Cons
  • Frequent disconnects and unreliable playback, especially in gym environments.
  • Inconsistent operation or failures to discover or stay connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Requires changing Android battery optimization/background usage to Unrestricted for proper function.
  • Occasional interference with other apps or needing restarts to restore audio.
  • Overall reliability varies by venue and setup, with some reviews noting poor performance despite a good concept

I was having disconnect issues at the gym. I reached out to AudioFetch and together we found one setting that should fix the problem I was having, disconnect after 1 minute. See Settings - AudioFetch - app info - App battery usage - Allow background usage - Unrestricted Allow battery usage in background. May use more battery.

The tech support is prompt and very helpful. They told me they need to change: . Please change the battery optimization for AudioFetch to "Unrestricted" in settings -> apps -> AudioFetch -> Battery -> Battery Optimization to fix issues with the audio shutting off after a few mintues. There is still an issue with opening other, non-audio apps like email or messages that will shut down the audio ont eh app until restart.

Works great at my church. I have seen a bunch of bad reviews, most of them at gyms. Perhaps when there are multiple channels, it has issues? At the church, we have just the one channel. If you are connected to the church wifi, you just open the app and within a couple seconds, it is playing the audio. Crazy simple. There is a very slight delay, perhaps 1/10 second or less. This is not an issue in our use since you aren't really seeing the mouths of the speakers well enough to catch it.
