Playful Alphabet is a Czech educational application that guides children step by step to confidence in letters: from learning and listening to pronunciation, through examples of words with emoji, to writing printed and written forms. Each letter has its own card with sample words and a short story that can be listened to while watching the highlighted words for the given letter. Thanks to its simple controls, clear interface and short game sessions, the application is ideal for preschoolers and first graders. It supports the entire Czech alphabet.
Minigames
Listening: The application reads the story for the selected letter and after reading it shows the number of words for the given letter with highlighting in the text.
Find words: In the same story, the child taps on words that start with the given letter (and contain them for selected letters). The "Evaluate" button will show the score and correct/incorrect choices.
Clouds: "Clouds" with words float across the screen; the child taps the ones that start with the selected letter. Choice of uppercase/lowercase letters, time limit, target is 10 correct ones.
Eggs: Eggs with letters fall; by moving the basket (wolf) he catches only the correct letter (uppercase or lowercase as chosen). The target is 10 correct ones, displays time and number of mistakes.
Pacman: Labyrinth with ghost – collect letters for the selected letter (uppercase and lowercase) and reach the goal/collect 2 checkpoints. Counts correct and incorrect collections.
Composition: Build a word from the offered letters that contains the selected letter. Support for dragging and tapping on the tile+slot, pronunciation of letters/words and uppercase/lowercase selection.
