Nexlora is a merge puzzle game where shapes evolve through strategic placement and combination. You drop tokens into columns on a grid, and when two or more tokens of the same tier connect, they merge into a higher-tier shape, creating cascading combos and strategic opportunities.

The gameplay centers on token placement and merging mechanics. You control tokens that fall into columns on a grid, similar to classic falling-block puzzle games. Each token has a tier from one to eight, with higher tiers representing more evolved shapes. When you drop a token, it falls to the lowest available position in that column, and gravity pulls all tokens downward to fill gaps.

The core challenge comes from creating merges by connecting tokens of the same tier. When two or more tokens of the same tier are adjacent horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, they form a connected group. This group merges into a single token of the next tier, which then falls due to gravity. The new token can create additional merges if it connects with other tokens of its tier, creating combo chains that reward strategic planning.

The game features two distinct game modes that offer different experiences. Quest mode presents you with specific objectives across multiple levels. Each quest has a target tier to achieve, a target count of tokens to create, and a maximum number of moves allowed. Some quests feature locked rows that cannot be used, adding spatial constraints that require careful planning. Endless mode lets you play without move limits, focusing on achieving the highest possible score and reaching the maximum tier of eight.

The merging system creates cascading combos that reward strategic thinking. When a merge occurs, the new token falls and may connect with other tokens, creating another merge. This chain reaction continues until no more merges are possible, and each merge in the chain increases your combo multiplier, resulting in higher scores. Planning your drops to maximize combo potential is key to achieving high scores and completing challenging quests.

The scoring system rewards both the tier of tokens merged and the size of the merge group. Larger groups of connected tokens provide more points, and combo chains multiply your score further. The game tracks your best score in endless mode, encouraging you to improve your strategy and achieve higher scores with each attempt.

The token spawning system uses probability distributions that vary by quest. Each quest defines which token tiers can spawn and their relative probabilities, creating different strategic challenges. Early quests may only spawn tier-one tokens, while later quests introduce higher-tier tokens that require different strategies to manage and merge effectively.

The visual design emphasizes clear shape distinction and smooth animations. Each tier has a distinct shape and color, making it easy to identify tokens at a glance.
