RestoreMate is designed for a clear, user-initiated recovery workflow. You can start a scan, review detected results, choose the files you want, and restore them locally. The app does not promise to recover every deleted file, but it gives you a practical way to check what may still be available on your device.

RestoreMate may be useful after accidental deletion, missing media, lost documents, or formatted storage where files are still technically recoverable. Scanning and recovery are handled on the device, and files are not uploaded for recovery.

Some recovery tasks may take time. RestoreMate may show a foreground notification so you can see that scanning or recovery is still running, even if you leave the app. Notifications are used for recovery status and completion alerts, not unrelated promotional messages.

Storage access is used only for user-started file recovery features. Broader storage access may be required because standard file selection tools do not provide enough access to scan for recoverable files across device storage.

Recovery results may vary depending on storage conditions, deletion timing, and whether deleted data has been overwritten. For better results, scan as soon as possible after files are deleted.
