FOApp is an application that supports technicians in managing and monitoring fiber optic cables. The application was developed by the Central Network Infrastructure Center (VNPT Net3) - a technical unit of VNPT Group, with the aim of supporting technical teams in troubleshooting, welding and moving fiber optic cables effectively right on mobile devices. The application works offline with pre-loaded data and does not require login for basic functions.

More importantly, FOApp is now designed to be expanded, not only for VNPT Net3 technicians but also for infrastructure contractors, civil works implementation units, and people living around the cable area. The main goal is to provide information on the location of fiber optic cables to support parties in preventing excavation incidents that cause damage, thereby joining hands to protect the safety of inter-provincial information infrastructure.

To enhance this coordination, FOApp integrates additional features such as viewing patrol schedules and construction supervision information, helping stakeholders to be more proactive in protecting the safety of cable lines and avoiding potential conflicts when implementing infrastructure projects.

Main features:

- Display fiber optic cable route maps and important points (data is classified for each user group).
- Powerful search by route name, cable section, kilometer milestone, route direction and many other criteria.
- Display the user's current GPS location on the map, supporting distance measurement to points of interest.
- Personalize data and customize the display interface according to usage needs.
- For VNPT Net3 technicians: View patrol schedules and construction supervision according to assigned cable routes.
- For stakeholders (including infrastructure contractors, civil works implementation units, and residents living around the cable route area):
- Access public fiber optic cable route location information to avoid risks.
- View the general patrol schedule of the cable route passing through the area.
- Monitor updated information on construction supervision activities near the cable route.
- Operate offline with data downloaded to the device.

Important note:

- The “Download Internal Data” function will not be available (hidden) when the device is not authenticated to connect to the VNPT Net3 internal network. This is a security measure to ensure that only authorized VNPT Net3 personnel can access and use this detailed data set.

- The application uses location access (GPS) to display the user's current location on the map, thereby supporting VNPT Net3 technicians in welding, moving, checking distances and helping contractors and residents easily identify their relative position to the cable line. Thanks to that, they can avoid unnecessary risks when constructing or living near the area with cable infrastructure.
