Vital Signs Monitor — Companion App for Bluetooth Health Devices

⚠️ EXTERNAL HARDWARE REQUIRED
This app is a companion display and notification tool. It does NOT
take measurements on its own. You MUST own one or more compatible
Bluetooth medical devices (thermometer, pulse oximeter, and/or blood
pressure monitor) for this app to function. Without these external
devices, the app cannot display any vital signs.

WHAT THIS APP DOES
Vital Signs Monitor pairs with your existing Bluetooth-enabled medical
devices to display the readings those devices produce, store a local
history of those readings, and notify family members when readings
from those devices fall outside ranges you configure. The app itself
does not measure temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, or blood
pressure — all measurements come from your external certified medical
devices.

REQUIRED HARDWARE (NOT INCLUDED, SOLD SEPARATELY)
You must already own at least one of the following Bluetooth devices:
- A compatible Bluetooth thermometer (for temperature display)
- A compatible Bluetooth pulse oximeter (for SpO₂, pulse rate,
respiration rate, perfusion index display)
- A compatible Bluetooth blood pressure monitor (for systolic,
diastolic, and pulse display)

The app supports any combination — one, two, or all three — based on
which devices you own.

FEATURES (all dependent on connected Bluetooth hardware)

Display of device readings
- Shows real-time data received from your paired Bluetooth devices
- Simultaneous display of data from up to three connected devices
- Readings displayed only while a device is connected and transmitting

Threshold alerts (based on data from your devices)
- Set custom minimum and maximum threshold values
- On-screen banner displayed when a reading from your device exceeds
the threshold you set
- Local audio alarm
- 30-minute cooldown to prevent repeat alerts
- Disconnect alert if a Bluetooth device unexpectedly disconnects

Family notification system
- Add family members by email to receive alerts
- Family members are notified when a reading from your device crosses
the threshold you configured
- Family members never see raw readings — only alert messages

Medicine reminders (independent of Bluetooth devices)
- Schedule medication reminders by name, type, and dosage
- Multiple daily dose times per medication
- Local notifications at scheduled times

Fever range customization
- Slider to set the fever threshold the app applies to temperature
data from your Bluetooth thermometer
- Supports Celsius and Fahrenheit display units

Data export
- Export your device readings as CSV files
- Filter by device type and date range
- Export per-device or all data as a ZIP file
- Share via email, cloud storage, or messaging apps

History and persistence
- View past readings received from your devices, organized by device
- Local storage with automatic snapshots every 5 minutes
- Data survives device restart

Privacy and data security
- Readings from your Bluetooth devices remain on your device
- Only alert notification metadata is sent to our servers
- Family members never see your raw readings, only alert messages
- Email-based account with password authentication

HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY
To use this app you must already own one or more compatible Bluetooth
medical devices, sold separately. The app will not produce any
readings without these external devices connected.
