User Reviews

Users appreciate the app's offline functionality, simplicity, and detailed tube information, finding it very useful and reliable over many years. However, multiple reviews consistently express disappointment over the lack of updates, missing new stations like the Elizabeth line, and software bugs causing crashes. Ad-related complaints and shifts towards ad-heavy route planning features are also notable negatives. Overall, while the core app is well-liked, the failure to maintain and update it reduces its current usefulness.
Pros
  • Works offline, allowing usage underground without internet connection.
  • Provides detailed and useful information such as the 'Minute Map' between stations and carriage exit locations.
  • Simple and intuitive interface, easy to use for both locals and visitors.
  • Has features beyond just a map, including live updates on delays and engineering info.
  • Generally reliable and has been highly regarded by long-term users for many years.
Cons
  • Significant lack of updates leading to missing new stations and lines, especially the Elizabeth line and the Northern line branch to Battersea.
  • The app shows bugs such as crashes on closing and blank screens when checking status.
  • Ads have been increased and some users feel they have to pay again to remove ads due to new versions.
  • Some features like carriage exit information and journey times are outdated or incorrect, reducing usefulness.
  • The app tries to be a route planner but is full of ads and some users dislike the new direction and functionality changes.

I've had this app for years, paid for ads to be removed. Since then the app never updated. I've now looked and it's a newer updated map, but makes you pay again for ad removal.

Bloody love this app! It works on the latest software, still have it from a back up. Small ads at the bottom but non that take over your screen for a lifetime. It's helped me so much. Please get an update so I can put it on my wife's phone!
