User Reviews

Virtusan app has a strong concept offering valuable meditation resources and features like NSDR sessions and focus sounds, which many users find helpful for relaxation and cognitive focus. However, the app is plagued by recurring audio playback issues, such as sudden sound cuts during sessions, significantly impairing user experience. Recent updates have reduced free content by adding paywalls, further disappointing users. Additionally, technical bugs including login and tracker malfunctions dampen usability. Despite good design and promising features, these persistent problems and a high subscription cost limit the app's effectiveness and user satisfaction.
Pros
  • Offers a variety of meditation and relaxation resources, including NSDR sessions by Dr. Andrew Huberman and mindfulness meditations by Dr. Shapiro.
  • Includes useful features like 40 Hz focus sounds, water tracking, and sunlight exposure tracking.
  • Provides a lot of free content and tools, praised for mental health support and cognitive enhancement.
  • Good app design and structure, making it generally user-friendly when functional.
  • Highly appreciated by users for the concept and the quality of meditation sessions provided.
Cons
  • The app experiences frequent audio cuts during NSDR and other meditation sessions, disrupting the experience and causing user frustration.
  • Recent updates introduced paywalls, reducing free content availability and causing dissatisfaction among users who previously had free access.
  • Technical issues like bugs in audio playback, app glitches, login problems, password reset failures, and unreliable tracking features are common.
  • The subscription price is considered high relative to the limited functionality and content offered.
  • Sunlight tracker feature is unreliable, failing to measure light properly, and water tracker can be buggy with incorrect data persistence.

Great looking app with lots of information. Unfortunately the 2 protocols I started lost audio about halfway through. Unusable for stress relief if the app causes stress! Very disappointing.

It is a good app with good resources, but I've been experiencing cuts in the NSDR meditation like other people reported. When listening to the 10 min NSDR the audio cuts on minute 7:30. It doesn't happen every time, but most of the times and this really spoils the experience. I would give 5 stars if wasn't for it. I hope it is fixed soon.
