ClipTools: Video Toolkit

ClipTools is a set of straightforward video utilities for Android. Pick a tool, pick a clip, get a file. No timeline, no learning curve, no sign-in.

Every export runs on your own phone using Android's built-in media engine. Your videos are never uploaded anywhere, so the tools keep working with no internet connection.

• Compress — shrink a clip for sharing or storage. Small, Medium and High quality presets with 1080p, 720p or 480p output, and an estimate of the size you'll save before you start.
• Trim — cut to an exact start and end with a frame strip scrubber and a looping preview.
• Merge — join two or more clips into one. Drag to reorder them first.
• Resize — change resolution up to 2160p (4K), or reframe to 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 for a different platform.
• Speed — slow motion or fast forward from 0.25x to 4x, with an option to keep the audio pitch natural.
• Rotate — fix a sideways or upside-down clip by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, plus horizontal and vertical flip.
• Mute — remove the audio track and leave the video untouched.
• Audio — extract the sound from a video as an M4A (AAC) file at 128, 256 or 320 kbps, either the whole clip or a selected range.
• GIF — turn any segment into an animated GIF at 10, 15 or 24 fps.
• Reverse — play a clip backwards, with an optional boomerang loop and reversed audio.
• Frame Extract — save any frame as a PNG or JPG still.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose a tool from the home grid.
2. Pick a video. Grant access to your whole library, or use Android's photo picker to share only the clips you choose.
3. Adjust the settings and export.
4. Save it to your gallery, open it in the built-in player, or share it straight to another app.

Exports keep running while you are in another app, with a notification showing progress and a cancel button. Finished files show up under Recent on the home screen. Videos are saved to Movies/ClipTools and extracted audio to Music/ClipTools.
