Vigi App

The Vigi-App is a surgical wound post-discharge surveillance application, which aims at the early detection of surgical site infection as a clinical decision support system.
The Vigi-App allows patients who underwent surgical procedures in previously registered hospitals to be monitored weekly (from 01 to 03 months depending on the type of surgery performed).
The application consists of a questionnaire; there is the possibility of sending a photograph of the surgical wound; tutorial; digital nurse (communication via chtat between the patient and a health professional from the hospital where he underwent surgery); agenda (the patient will receive reminders via SMS signaling the days to fill in the questionnaire).
Additionally, health professionals from previously registered hospitals can follow the progress of their patients through a dashboard (www.vigiaplicativo.com).
