To strengthen and institutionalize the MNH quality improvement (QI) collaborative approach which Jhpiego is implementing in Indonesia through MCGL to improve quality of MNH services and reduce maternal and newborn mortality, an AI-powered Virtual Intelligent Assistant (VIA) called Sahabat Digital has been created. Sahabat Digital supports district MNH QI mentors in their QI tasks, including provider coaching, data review and analysis, supporting Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles and assisting providers and facilities to develop and implement change solutions to address challenges identified through data review/analysis. Sahabat Digital also coaches providers on the maternal newborn bundle of care, offers both support at the point of care and learning support. The bot is free to use and does not store any data of user interactions.
