Recording-first clinical notes for NDIS practitioners and support workers

Features & Capabilities

CaseNotes is a clinical session documentation tool built for NDIS support service providers. Designed for practitioners, support workers, and clinical services managers, it turns the everyday work of running a session into a clean, reviewable clinical record — without the paperwork drag.

The mobile app is built recording-first. Open a session, give it a type, and you're straight into a single, full-screen record button. Tap to start, tap to pause, tap again to resume — as many times as you need. When you're done, end the recording and move on to your post-session notes and an AI-generated session summary. No multi-step wizards. No fiddly forms. Just record, review, and complete.

KEY FEATURES

- One-tap session recording
Start a session in seconds. The app pre-fills today's date, the current time, a 30-minute end time, and an in-clinic activity by default. Just choose your session type and go.

- Live transcription with speaker diarisation
Audio is transcribed in real time using AssemblyAI's Universal Streaming API. Speakers are automatically separated (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.) so you always know who said what.

- Pause and resume freely
Step out of the room, take a breath, handle an interruption — recording resumes exactly where you left off.

- AI-generated session summaries
After the session, generate a structured 6-section summary (Session Overview, Key Discussion Points, Goals Worked On, Notable Observations, Recommendations, Future Actions). Strictly grounded in your transcript and notes — no hallucinations.

- Voice-to-text post-session notes
Capture your post-session reflections by voice or by typing. The app handles the rest.

- Template-driven case notes
Generate full clinical case notes from one or more session notes using your organisation's templates. AI fills in the structured fields; you review, edit, and submit.

- Built-in review workflow
Draft → Sent for Review → Completed, with revision rounds and inline comments. Senior Practitioners and Clinical Services Managers can approve, request revisions, or reopen records as needed.

- Participant-aware
Quickly see your assigned participants, their goals, medical history, and previous session notes — all in one place before you start.

- Audit-ready
Every clinical action is logged. Session notes lock on save. Case notes carry full version history. Designed for NDIS compliance from the ground up.

- Secure by design
JWT authentication, capability-based access control, deactivated-user lockout, server-side role resolution, and bcrypt-hashed passwords. AssemblyAI and Azure OpenAI keys never touch the device.

WHO IT'S FOR

- Practitioners running clinical assessments and consultations
- Support workers documenting daily shifts
- Senior Practitioners supervising clinical staff
- Clinical Services Managers reviewing and approving records

WHY CASENOTES

Clinicians and support workers spend too much time on documentation and not enough time with the people they support. CaseNotes flips that. Run the session. Let the app handle the transcript, the summary, and the structured fields. Spend the time you save on the work that actually matters.

Note: CaseNotes requires an organisation account provisioned by your Clinical Services Manager or Administrator. It is not a consumer app
