PocketItem is the list you always carry. Something crosses your mind, you jot it down and move on — by typing, by voice, or by pointing your camera at it.

• Camera: point at a book cover, a package or a sign and the app reads the text for you (OCR runs on your phone — nothing gets uploaded).

Optional AI, with your own keys
Want the camera to identify tricky things — a specific book edition, an obscure product? Plug in your own Anthropic or Gemini API key, or your personal OpenAI-compatible server. It's entirely optional: the app is fully functional without AI, and if you turn it on, images go straight from your phone to YOUR provider with YOUR key — never to our servers, because we don't have any.
