Astral Hours calculates planetary hours in real time based on your
GPS location and true solar time. Following the ancient Chaldean
system, each hour of the day is ruled by one of seven classical
planets — Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn.

What are Planetary Hours?
Planetary hours are an ancient timekeeping system dating back to Babylonian and Hellenistic astrology. Each hour of the day and night is governed by one of the seven classical planets — Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn — in a fixed sequence known as the Chaldean order. The length of each hour is not fixed but calculated from the actual sunrise and sunset at your location, making every day unique.
