ENCRYPTED MESSAGING & CALLS

ANDROID DICTATION OVERLAY (OPTIONAL — USES ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE)
On Android, you can optionally enable a floating dictation bubble that lets you speak into any app's text field. This is powered by Android's Accessibility Service and is fully optional — Vavus AI works without it.

When you tap the floating bubble — and only then — the service looks at the field you are typing in so the dictated text can be appended in the right place, and inserts the words you dictated into that same field.

When the bubble is NOT tapped, the service does nothing: it does not read other apps, record audio, take any action on your behalf, collect analytics, or run in the background. Vavus AI never auto-types, never taps buttons, never sends messages, and never reads content outside the field you selected.

Audio is sent over an encrypted connection to Vavus AI servers, transcribed, and immediately discarded — not stored, not logged, not used for training.

You can disable the overlay at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility → Vavus AI, or in-app under Settings → "Dictation overlay in other apps". Before enabling, the app shows a prominent disclosure explaining what the service does and does not do.

HEALTHCARE MODE FOR HIPAA-ALIGNED DEPLOYMENTS
For clinical environments: 8-hour session tokens, 15-minute idle timeout, full audit logging, PHI encryption, and 6-year retention. Use in healthcare depends on executed BAAs and required operational controls.
