Notivisor

Notivisor shows your phone's notifications inside your VR headset without interrupting what you are doing. A message, a call, a reminder — you see it without taking the headset off or leaving the game.

One app installs on both devices and works out which one it is running on.

A DIRECT LINK
Your phone and headset talk to each other over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. There is no server in between, no account and no sign-up. The text of your notifications never leaves your two devices.

ENCRYPTED
The link is sealed with AES-256-GCM under a key derived from a pairing code only your devices know. Being in Bluetooth range is not enough for anyone nearby to read anything.

ANSWER WITHOUT TAKING IT OFF
A message you can reply to on the phone can be replied to from the headset. The reply box comes across with the notification, and your phone sends the answer as if you had typed it there. The notification's own buttons come too — archive, mark read, snooze, whatever the app offers — and an incoming call arrives with Answer and Decline.

YOUR PHONE'S SCREEN, IN A WINDOW
Over Wi-Fi, the phone's screen opens in a movable window next to whatever you are running, and one press starts it from either device. Pair wireless debugging on the phone once — the app walks you through it — and your taps in that window land there as real touches: scroll a feed, open an app, finish what you started. Skip that step and mirroring still works, view-only, through the standard screen-share dialog.

TYPE WITH A REAL KEYBOARD
Pointing at letters with a controller is the worst part of VR. Write on the phone instead — autocorrect, swipe and all — tap Type and send text, and it arrives in the headset ready to paste into any field. Nothing to set up on the headset. On headsets that let you switch keyboards, focusing a field asks the phone for text by itself.

SET UP IN HALF A MINUTE
Tap Connect a headset on the phone and a QR code appears. Tap Scan QR in the headset. The code carries everything — the pairing code, the connection type, the address — so nothing has to be matched up by hand. No camera on your headset? Type the 16 digits instead.

YOU CHOOSE WHAT GETS THROUGH
Every installed app, with a switch each. Two modes: forward everything except what you uncheck, or only what you check. Persistent notifications like downloads and music playback are filtered out by default, and can be switched back on.

TIDY IN THE HEADSET
Each source app gets its own notification channel and icon, so you can mute one app using the headset's own settings. Dismiss a notification in either place and it clears in both. Repeats are filtered, so unread counters and download progress do not flood you.

THE SMALL THINGS THAT ADD UP
A login code arriving mid-session gets a copy button. The clipboard can be sent across. A link can be shared straight into the headset's browser. The phone can silence itself while the headset has your notifications, and put itself back afterwards. The headset's battery shows on the phone, its media can be paused and skipped from there, and a headset you have put down somewhere can be made to make a noise. A quick settings tile pauses forwarding without opening the app, and a documented broadcast API hooks into Tasker.

IT ACTUALLY QUITS
The Quit button stops everything and leaves the background rather than minimising. Nothing runs on your battery when you do not need it.

SUPPORTED DEVICES
Built for Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Works on other Android-based headsets too; Pico restricts camera access for ordinary apps, so you enter the pairing code by hand there — everything else works.

WHAT IT NEEDS
Notification access, without which Android will not let any app read notifications. And unrestricted battery use, or your phone will stop the app soon after the screen goes off. The app explains both and takes you to the right settings.
