SEA WATCH

SEA WATCH is a Chrome extension dedicated to tracking and addressing ecological hazards in the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Eilat. Operated by the Society for the Protection of Nature, it empowers the public to report environmental risks directly, improving sea conditions through verified, quality reports. The extension includes new features such as an Eilat bay scene, marine reserves mapped on Google Maps, an improved menu, and enhanced performance.

Reports from users are confidential but require contact details for authenticity and follow-up. Verified submissions are forwarded to relevant environmental authorities and sometimes managed by the response team with volunteer aid for operations like ghost net removal and invasive species control. SEA WATCH also facilitates law enforcement efforts by providing detailed evidence to help combat marine-related crimes, ensuring environmental protection through community involvement and effective enforcement.
