Uthiram — Blood Donor App

Uthiram (உதிரம்) connects people who urgently need blood with willing donors nearby — in real time, for free.

When a patient needs blood, every minute matters. Uthiram finds compatible donors around the hospital, alerts them instantly, and even places a friendly voice call in their own language so a willing donor never gets missed. No middlemen, no fees, no waiting on a notice board.

Built for Tamil Nadu, in Tamil and English.

FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED BLOOD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Post a request in seconds — blood group, hospital, how many units.
• We instantly find and alert compatible donors near the hospital.
• See who is ready to help and coordinate directly once they say yes.
• An AI voice assistant calls donors on your behalf, in Tamil or English, so you don't have to make dozens of calls yourself.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
FOR DONORS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Turn "Available" on when you're ready to give.
• Get alerted only for requests that match your blood group and are genuinely near you.
• Say yes with one tap — or answer the voice call.
• We respect the medical cooldown between donations, so you're never asked when you're not eligible.
• Earn a shareable, verifiable donation certificate every time you help save a life.

PRIVACY, BUILT IN
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Your privacy is not an afterthought — it is the design.
• Your phone number is NEVER shown to a requester until YOU accept their request.
• Your exact location is never shared. Distances are approximate and fuzzed.
• Your name is masked to other users until you choose to help.
• We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers.
• Delete your account and all your data anytime from Settings.

Built to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023.

WHY UTHIRAM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• 100% free — for donors and for those in need.
• Real-time matching, not a stale directory.
• Voice-first — reaches donors who don't watch a screen all day.
• Tamil + English throughout.
• A community initiative, not a business.

Uthiram means "blood" in Tamil. One drop can save a life — உதிரம் ஒரு துளி, ஒரு உயிர்.
